| Remarks & Notes |
| The power for aggregate train W089 takes a breather in Notasulga this evening as it waits for another load of rock. This engine and 24 others (8500-8524) were originally ordered by and built to L&N specs, but when delivered by EMD in 1983, the L&N had now become the Seaboard System. What makes these 25 L&N units unique is the presence of a nose headlight at the front. All other SD50 units ordered by the Seaboard System would come with a cab headlight instead. |
