On March 20, Pan Am Southern train BFED-20 - Bellows Falls, VT to East Deerfield, MA - is seen pulling down the connection track from the Green Mountain Railroad's Bellows Falls Subdivision toward the New England Central Railroad's Palmer Subdivision, where the PAS train will operate on via trackage rights to reach home rails at East Northfield, MA. The BFED-20 has one-half of the PAR heritage GP9 duo - ST 52 in Maine Central paint - and is joined by MEC GP40 307 as regular GP9 partner ST 77 gets some TLC from the East Deerfield, MA shop forces on Pan Am. Many thanks to the regularly wonderful (and well aware of the flash) crew who even gave us a little class (lights) tonight!
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
