Empty night train coming back from Veynes, going to Paris. This is a rare occurence of a locomotive-hauled passenger train running during day light on the beautiful Valence - Veynes line. The surrounding area, called "Claps" is a heritage, protected site. In 1442, the nearby mountain collapsed into a major rock slide that blocked the river, created 2 lakes and a unique landscape, called "Claps" of the Drôme River. The line crosses the site by way of a huge viaduct and a tunnel.
