A surprisingly clean 50 ft. ACF Spartan Easy Loader double door box car is pictured in Spanish Fork Canyon on Nov. 16, 1996. D&RGW 63790 is from a series of 100 cars built new in May 1963 for the Rio Grande to haul copper concentrate from Kennecott Copper Corp. in Garfield, Utah and US Smelting & Refining near Tooele, Utah. In 1974 it was reassigned to work train service with Supply Car BL-7 stenciled along the sides.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
