Following a beautifully clear weekend up in the Blue Mountains, I was on my way home just as the clouds were building up and the sun was about to set when I decided to drop off the interstate for a brief moment to see if I could get a nice last-light-of-day kind of shot. It just so turned out that I would get exactly that. As the sun was just beginning to touch down onto the horizon, a westbound unit soda ash train with mid-train DPU's came flying down the grade into Munra, just a few miles east of Pendleton.
