| Eight is GREAT! The delivery of 279 new AC4400CWs in 1995 changed the face of railroading on Southern Pacific's former Rio Grande lines in Utah and Colorado. The shiny new GEs were everywhere hauling coal and mixed freight, usually in sets of two or three. SP's ASRVM-10 had eight of the big new units heading west through Riverton just before sunset on Sept. 14, 1995. |
