| These are Class 37 Diesels, 37-042 / 37-075 / 37-019, built by General Motors South Africa as model GM-EMD GT26M2C, in 1981 / 1982 – a total of 100 built. They are heading down the KwaZulu Natal South Coast with empty D Type Wagons to Natal Portland Cement at Simuma / Port Shepstone. This is a daily working and the train will follow the beautiful coastline for most of the way down. With special thanks to the Fontana Family for allowing me access to their property. |
