On the trip home fresh from a rebuild at Paducah, Kentucky, Union Pacific’s E9 No. 949 cuts through the farm country of Willis, Kansas, over the Falls City Subdivision on April 28, 1993. The panned photograph is taken from the U.S. Highway 159 overpass, west of town, and tonight, the shiny Es will be in Omaha…
