NS U48 passes MP15 at the west end of the ex-Interstate's Andover Yard as it climbs "Norton Hill" amid blazing fall foliage. A brief time earlier, NS 591 had stalled with 145 empties on Norton Hill. 591's crew was short on time so they cut 57 "blacks" of the head end and pulled them into Norton Yard. U48 took over the motive power and brought the remaining 88 empties into Norton.
