As an eastbound Union Pacific freight drops downgrade through Little 10 Curve, a westbound BNSF freight waits patiently in Rocky siding. On this clear Saturday afternoon of June 28, 2014, the city of Denver can easily be seen above the brightly lit rocks of the Laramie Formation.
