| A coal train splits the once bustling railroad town of Thurmond, now a popular tourist attraction in the heart of the New River Gorge. The old C&O cantilever, coaling tower, and abandoned downtown buildings give a historic feel to the otherwise modern railroading that occurs here. *Update: The classic C&O signal was replaced 10/20/2014* |
