On the ride downhill from Udagamandalam to Mettupalayam, the train stops in Coonoor. Here, the diesel engine is replaced by a steam engine. This meant that I had some time to look around and make a few photos at the shed. Here we see 2 YDM-4 engines side to side to a steam engine. This oil-fired steam engine was built in 2011 by the Golden Rock Workshop (Tiruchirapalli).
