Sorsele is the only location along the 746 kilometer stretch from Östersund to Gällivare where Inlandsbanan trains meet, an occasion that happens once per day. Here the northbound train, locomotive 1269, is a few minutes away from departure, since the southbound train with locomotive 1328 has arrived and cleared the tracks all the way to Gällivare!
