For rock blasting operations in the Kräbelwand the catenary of the Rigibahn had to be dismantled. The work trains for transportation of the material were carried out with the steam locomotive H 2/3 # 17 (built for the Vitznau-Rigi-Bahn in 1925). The train traveled between the site in the Kräbelwand (Kräbel rock face) and the station Kräbel, where the rock material is unloaded for removal by truck. In the background the Rossberg mountain, from which in the year 1806 came down a massive landslide, which covered the village Goldau and claimed the lives of 457 people.
