Remarks & Notes
With dynamic brakes humming, an eastbound Union Pacific coal train exits 174-foot Tunnel 4 west of Plainview, Colorado, on February 28, 2011. One of the massive Flatiron rock formations towers above the train and is penetrated by 536-foot Tunnel 6, with the shear south wall known to local climbers as “Mickey Mouse Wall.”
