A relatively large number of passengers (by Edmonds standards) waited for the arrival of train #513. The train was sold out and there is a particular reasoning for this. Almost a majority of passengers are wearing their Seattle Seahawks apparel and many were heading to downtown Seattle to celebrate their team's first Super Bowl win by going to the team's victory parade. It was a busy morning with fans scrambling to get on any available Sounder and Amtrak trains to get to Seattle, which all of the Sounder Commuter Trains were completely full after just one station stop and any Amtrak trains scheduled to arrive to Seattle between 11 AM - 1 PM were all sold out. Not to mention, the morning commute between Everett - Seattle on I-5 was over 120 minutes (average morning commute between 45 - 60 minutes). Train #513 was no exception as the crew was really busy dealing with passengers from the start of the trip. At the end of the day, a total of over 700,000 people have attended the parade, which is considerably really big as Seattle's city population is roughly 635,000 people and the Annual Seafair Torchlight Parade's average attendance is between 200,000 - 300,000 people.
