Crossing the bridge over Lake Pend Oreille between Sandpoint and Algoma is a westbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe Z train on June 3, 2002. Two GE C44-9Ws bracketing a former Santa Fe EMD SD75M, all decked out in clean “heritage II” paint, power the hot train.
