On a sunny December day, State Railway of Thailand GE UM12C #4045 leads Train #257 across the famous Wangpho Trestle. This curved trestle was built by enslaved Allied POW's during World War II as a part of the infamous Death Railway. Now this trackage is run by the State Railway of Thailand for tourist and local use. This train originated in Bangkok and is the only complete daily roundtrip from Bangkok to Namtok, a 420km tip that takes over 10 hours (when it is on time).
