With the wig-wags doing their “wagging” at Main Street crossing in North Prairie, Wisconsin, Atlantic Coast Line E3 No. 501 is power for a Golden Arrow Lines excursion from Waukesha to North Prairie on August 4, 1984. The locomotive was owned by the late Glenn Monhart and operated on tour trains in Wisconsin in the mid-1980’s. Today, it is owned by the North Carolina Dept. of Transportation Rail Division, and is on long term loan to the North Carolina Transportation Museum, in Spencer, North Carolina.
