To celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the San Luis Central, the railroad operated a special passenger train on the 13-mile line from Monte Vista to Center in Colorado’s San Luis Valley. The train ran steam power on the SLC, but was pulled by a diesel from Alamosa to Monte Vista on the San Luis & Rio Grande. Here the train is arriving at Monte Vista pulled by SL&RG EMD FP10 No. 1100 on September 1, 2013.
