| Remarks & Notes |
| A german Intercity-Express is on the ride from Berlin to Munich and Passau (train separation in Nuremberg) through the Saale river valley near Jena, Thuringia. Although the ICE is a high speed train there is no high speed in this area - the maximum speed at the location in the picture is 110 km/h (about 68 mph). The ICE series shown here - available with either five or seven cars - has a speed limit of 230 km/h (about 143 mph) and thus is the slowest ICE series. |
