| Photographed on Kodachrome more than 35 years ago, Rio Grande's 'Short Line Transfer' departs Union Pacific's North Yard with a cut of cars for Roper Yard in South Salt Lake. D&RGW SD7 No. 5303 was already 25 years of age by this time (Blt. May 1953) and would survive into the Southern Pacific merger, eventually sold to National Railway Equipment in Nov. 1991. |
