Ice jam stalls ships in Lake Superior but DM&IR 316 and 193 have no trouble leading a long train of empty coal cars from winter storage. The pair are shown passing along the shore of Lake Superior where easterly winds have packed ice and forced a number of ships to anchor outside the harbor. There are five ships in this view. At one point earlier in the morning there were 11 ships in this general area.
