Strasburg acquired #9331, a GE 44-tonner, in 1966 after leasing it from the PRR since 1961. It was initially painted red and yellow and numbered #33. It is one of three diesel switchers at Strasburg and became the switcher of choice over the line's original under powered Plymouth #1. With new increasing demands at the railroad, Strasburg has since acquired a former NYC SW8 in 2009 which now handles the majority of the tasks around the yard as well as hauling freight for interchange with NS. All three are operable.
An attempt to put the best picture of engines that represent each of America's railroads. When a better picture of an engine/type is found, it will be added.
