PRR #2846 one of a total of three 2-8-0 PRR survivors on display at the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum. This H6sb Consolidation (#2846) was built in 1905 and represents one of Pennsy's Baldwin purchases. The H6 class was modified with a wide Belpaire firebox which made it superior to the railroad's previous Consolidations. The other 2-8-0's, No. 1187 was built by the Railroad's own shops while the third Consolidation (#7688) is a Lima offering.
An attempt to put the best picture of engines that represent each of America's railroads. When a better picture of an engine/type is found, it will be added.
