MILW 579, one of four rebuilt Alco RSC2-Ms (576-579) waits for its crew at the west end of Milwaukee's small Eau Claire yard. The train will go on duty late afternoon and head down the branch line to a BN connection at Trevino, WI, then race to Winona, MN, and make its return to Eau Claire early the next morning. At this time the train operated 6 days per week. Light rail and bridges required use of RSC2s or SDL39s on this line.
