With the storm of the year (possibly decade) bearing down, I figured i had a slight chance at catching a rare weekend operation on the OTVR. Like many shortlines, weekend work is "as needed". And apparently, today, BNSF has summoned an empty unit crude oil train, and being it stored on the Ottertail Valley, they had the task of delivering it in less than stellar condition. The chase would end a few miles later as there was too much traffic in and out of BNSF's Dilworth terminal.
