Remarks & Notes

5 big GE locomotives strain against a loaded frac sand train pulling up the hill formed by the Chippewa River Valley. The unit train was loaded on the other side of town on the Wisconsin Northern. The searchlight is a distant approach protecting the diamond with the CN Minneapolis Sub at Chippewa Falls. The temperature on this winter morning stood at -11F.
