| This locomotive has seen a whole lot of service since it was built for the Santa Fe in 1951. Here it's coupled up nose-to-nose with one of the A&R's GP38s, awaiting some TLC after coming up from the Pee Dee River Railway, the A&R's sister company. Since this photo was taken, the 2486 has gotten a brand new coat of paint and looks mighty fine for it's age. |
