| Remarks & Notes  |
| Last sunlight of 2012. Catching literally the last rays of sun at 3:38pm, the Troy local returns from working Troy with 2 empties from Interstate Commodities. Train is passing the old NYC milepost R 1 and an old textile mill. In the background is the I-90 Patroon Island Bridge. This old New York Central branch was referred to as the Troy Branch or Troy & Greenbush Branch and was once a key double track line hosting passenger trains from the NYC, D&H and Rutland. The Rutland also ran freight down this line to get to Chatham after it abandoned its own line from Bennington to Chatham. This was the route of the D&H Laurentian and Montreal Limited and the route of run thru cars from the Green Mountain Flyer and Mont Royal. |
