Remarks & Notes |
New build Class A1 4-6-2 60163 Tornado is now wearing its third livery after Apple Green and Brunswick Green.
Freshly repainted into early British Railways blue, Tornado is seen here being dragged by DCR 56312 past Didcot East Junction.
The working is 5Z63 Southall - Didcot GWS. 60163 was being taken for display at the Didcot GWS museum for the day so that the Coventantors (people who donated money to build it) could see it in blue for the first time.
The locos first working in blue was the previous day on a Paddington - Shrewsbury railtour, but the weather was appalling. This is the first chance to see the new livery in sunshine |
