Remarks & Notes

A Louisville and Nashville GE U23B leads a coal train towards Winchester at Sloan siding after meeting an eastbound at Cressy, Kentucky, in December 1983. The L&N was then part of Family Lines and merging into Seaboard System. This line that heads southeast out of Winchester is a coal gathering branch to the Hazard area.
