With the road crew of train #100 offering a roll by in the siding at Crescent, the Rio Grande Zephyr train #17 ascends the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies on its westward journey to Salt Lake City. In about 20 additional miles, train #17 will cross the Continental Divide at 9239 ft. above sea level through the 6.21 mile Moffat Tunnel.
