Southbound NWP #2009 and #1922 with caboose (ex-SP #1971) return to Petaluma after delivering concrete ties to Rohnert Park for the SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) rail re-construction project. Earlier in the day, this trio brought the first ribbon rail train for the SMART project into Petaluma for an overnight stay. The next day, the rail train was shoved to Santa Rosa with the caboose being used as a shoving platform.
