Soon, the narrow gauge De 110 units (delivered 1941!) will be retired - but until the new rolling stock is operational, they are responsible for the hourly Interregio services between Meiringen and Interlaken. The units used to have three two-axle bogies of which the center one housed a cogwheel drive, but it was removed, hence they cannot haul trains over the Brünig pass anymore. Here you can see one of these units hurtling along Lake Brienz.
