Remarks & Notes
A storm blowing through. Making track speed and trailing a dark, turbulent plume, Nickel Plate 765 blows past the iconic Carland Elevator dragging a heavy, 34-car freight. Although there are other "Nickel Plate Heritage Locomotives" out and about these days, this one is definitely number one on the seniority list. Built in 1944 by the Lima Locomotive Works, this gal carried the colors for the New York, Chicago & St. Louis for 14 years before being retired. If you're looking for the real Nickel Plate Heritage Engine, you need look no further.

Anything that grabs one's attention and holds it. These photos tell more than a story based on the sum of its parts, but create other stories.
