Soda Ash from Green River to Portland must conquer a major obstacle on its journey to export, the Blue Mountains. Here in Pelican Canyon the grade reaches 2.21%, and this Soda Ash load has all traction motors whining and wheel slip screaming as it struggles for the Summit... The Blues are a remote and fantastic place to visit....
