| In the waning aftermath of Snowpocalypse 2012, the Keenan Switch heads out in the elements to deliver a cut of empty gondolas to Mesabi Nugget for loading.
The Mesabi Nugget project is a pioneering effort to commercialize the production of high-purity pig iron nuggets using an innovative direct-reduction process then those nuggets are used principally as feedstock for EAF steelmaking in mini mills. |
