| Remarks & Notes  |
| Fifty four years after being delivered to the South African Railways (SAR) from the USA, this class 31 Bo-Bo (GE U12B) survives in industrial service with RRL Grindrod. Previously SAR # 31-009, she was rebuilt with a low short hood in 2011 and renumbered RB201. On its first run of the day shift, # 201 is seen hauling empties from Welkom up the short branch from Odendaalsrus to Tshepong mine. |
