| Three fairly clean CNW C628's pass the Rock station with 109 loads on the last day of September 1979. The 6723, 6716, 6720 have everything under control as they head for Escanaba. The busted knuckle laying along the ROW by the corner of the depot gives mute testimony to the force of three unit C628's matched up against the CNW's fleet of WWII and Korean War era ore cars. When the C628's replaced the FM H16-66's that had been in this service in 1975, the ROW became littered with drawbar's and knuckles. |
