Remarks & Notes |
A perfect serene Montana morning in the Rockies. The sun had only crested the valley for about a little over an hour when the thunderous sound of an export coal train could be heard echoing off the mountainsides. 8 high horsepower AC locomotives are needed to lift this coal train over the divide. This day sees a set of BNSF units as the swing helper set instead of the usual quartet of MRL ACEs. The extra set of helpers was provided to the MRL due to increased traffic caused by flooding on other lines.
