Remarks & Notes |
the Action road Built for the Rio Grande in 1963 by American Car and Foundry, this fifty foot double door boxcar was intended to haul copper bullion from plants in Utah and even equipped with a Keystone cushioned underframe. Today it rests miles away from the Rio Grande mainline in Avondale, CO as it soaks up the sun with a few other Rio Grande cast offs still wearing its original reporting marks and Rio Grande logo but in a simplified all gold and black paint scheme. |
