Day 3: On to Bennett. The White Pass Rotary Fleet presses north from Fraser Station toward Log Cabin, with the ultimate goal of making Bennett on this 3rd day of their plowing operation. The snow in the stretch seen here is barely a foot deep and with the train making excellent progress, that goal was looking very achievable. Little did they know that just a mile or so ahead, they'd encounter a deep, rock-hard drift on the shore of Lake Fraser that would delay them nearly half an hour, and that would prove to be just enough delay to prevent them from getting to Bennett before their crew duty day expired.
