Remarks & Notes |
The 80's were rough on the ACR with the economy making many twists and turns that caused a downward spiral of the freight traffic that the railroad was positioned to haul(forest products, steel and ore). Sights like this at Steelton with long lines of stored locomotives were common. The roads SD40/SD40-2's spent a lot of time leased to CPR. The lease market for non rebuilt GP7's was not as good. 154 leads a long string of stored units including rebuilt 103 and even one of the ACR's two SW series units at Steelton. |
