Westbound C&O manifest No. 795 was rounding the curve and passing "G" tower in Gordonsville, VA on Sept. 22, 1984 with three B30-7s. The train was on the Piedmont Subdivision and was about to enter the Washington Subdivision which curves around from the left. There once was a beautiful station located behind the tower, but it was torn down in the mid-1970s. The train orders signals, on the Washington Subdivision to the left, marked what was the end of the station canopy.
