Remarks & Notes |
A special test train for the WAKO system of Bombardier Transportation. The "FLEXX Tronic WAKO" is an innovative system for the compensation of the natural roll movement of a carbody, integrated into the existing secondary suspension. The system allows a speed increase in curves of ~15% and therefore allows for shorter journey times with lower investment in infrastructure.
A standard doubledeck IC2000 Intercity car of the SBB was fitted with the new WAKO bogies and coupled with about 4 metre long special couplers in between two Bpm61 cars for test runs between Etzwilen and Seuzach, a line with few trafic and many long curves. |
