600 HP. Dutch-built (in 1954) Werkspoor DEB #10789 hauls the Tapiales wreck train round the curve at the entrance of Gonzalez Catán station under a drizzling Winter rain. The steam-powered hook was commisioned not to clear the line but to move a stranded passenger coach with a broken axle away from the tracks. In the right background the cut in the terrain holds the track of the branch to La Plata, which creates a junction with the double-track mainline just ahead of the locomotive.
