Remarks & Notes |
General Roca Railroad's GM-EMD G12 # 6574 switches a set of commuter coaches with a push-pull cab in the head end at the small yard next to the former British-owned Buenos Aires Great Southern Railway's Remedios de Escalada Shops and Stores. Trains is not in the normal operation format of push-pull commuter trains, in which locomotives were coupled to pull in the outbound direction and push inbound. Picture looks outbound with the four-track mainline in the background, the two "west" tracks recently renewed as part of the works of electrification with 25-kV. catenary in clear contrast with the "east" tracks, still dirty with oil and grime from diesel operation. |
