| BNSF 5857 leads empty coal buckets past one of the signature features on BNSF's K-Line (Hannibal Subdivision), a signal house on stilts. The K-line is prone to flooding from the Mississippi River (out of view to the left of the photo), and the MOW department decided instead of replacing electronics everytime the river flooded, they would build the signal houses out of the way of flood waters...up. |
