Remarks & Notes |
BNSF Railway's Z-LACNYC9-13A (Priority UPS-LTL Intermodal; Los Angeles CA to New York NY) ascends southern California's Cajon Pass, which has a lot more trackage today than it did just a few years ago. The BNSF (on which the Union Pacific has trackage rights) has three mainlines here (two in this shot, and another off camera to the left), the UP has the former Southern Pacific Palmdale Cutoff (built in the late 1960s) - seen here just above the train - and the recently built Silverwood crossover connecting the BNSF and UP (just behind the 7575). |
